These candleholders were the first in a series of geometric designs which I developed used the band saw for rough shaping which is then hand shaped and smoothed using a plane and scrapper.
Simple elegant design in quality ash timber. The open structure means that I was able to use an ingraining process. I made this even more interesting by using local peat as the ingraining material. This enhances the grain of the timber and also means you have a little piece of Shetland in you purchase!
